For 19 years running, IntelliSurvey has proudly partnered with Korn Ferry in gathering the data for FORTUNE magazine to identify and rank the World’s Most Admired Companies.

Korn Ferry first engaged IntelliSurvey to field this FORTUNE project in 2004 with the direct involvement of CEO and Co-Founder Robert Messer. David Ranney (VP, Information Technology and Security) was also part of the original team on the project, and then Curt Hutton (Tier 2 Support Engineer) oversaw the exercise for a number of years. More recently Berkley Hughes (Senior Director Client Services) manages the action day-to-day. This is a combined 72+ years of institutional knowledge that still resides with IntelliSurvey to guide this important effort.

And this project with Korn Ferry and FORTUNE is more than just a survey. As with many of our clients, IntelliSurvey is building a number of customized web applications that function seamlessly with the survey itself so that respondents and survey administrators are working in unison to deliver data accurately and on time.

As you can see in the chart below, in 2005, the top 10 World’s Most Admired Companies was dominated by energy producers and automotive companies. That has noticeably shifted in 2022, where the leading industries are now tech and entertainment.

All told, in the 19 years of gathering data for Korn Ferry and FORTUNE, almost 300,000 responses have been gathered across FORTUNE 1000 and Global 500 companies. For 2022 this included 640 companies from 28 countries invited to participate across 52 industry groupings.

We’re now partnering again with Korn Ferry and FORTUNE to gather the results for what will become the rankings for the 2023 edition of the World’s Most Admired Companies. IntelliSurvey continues to pride itself on meeting the needs of our clients in delivering customized solutions on time and on budget, and we look forward to continuing this model of work on behalf of Korn Ferry and FORTUNE.
